Cass Mccombs - Sacred Heart

The first song of 2005 that really stood out for me. It was released way back in Feburuary on the album "PREfection"; not to be confused with PERfection. ...har har har...

Deerhoof - Green Cosmos

You see that?! Satomi and crew are kicking the ass of popular pop convention. This seven song ep, "Green Cosmos" (released this year along with their full length "The Runners Four"), further proves that. This release doesn't share any tracks with "The Runners Four", and seems to be a completely different project. That's a bit of a warning to fans of "The Runners Four", and who aren't that familiar with the band: Deerhoof should be expected to do somewhat of the bizaar and unexpected.

Cat Power

"Lived In Bars" is a track from the yet to be released album "The Greatest" (you can read about it here). Plus I'm posting an older song I heart... a cover of a Thurston Moore tune... it's fierce.

It's always fun rediscovering how much I love an album or CD. Fugazi's "End Hits" is as such... possibly my favorite Fugazi album.

At the moment this song suits me just fine.
