Luna is where the heart is.

I'm sad, because, yet again, here is a prolific band that I'm just barely getting into AFTER they broke up. What sucks even more is that they recently broke up. Luna played their final show together as a band at NYC's Bowery room just this past March. During that last tour they played here in February at The Casbah. Where was I? Probably somewhere sitting in a corner wishing I was somplace else. Damn... sucks for me, and yet there's hope. Sometime in 2006 a documentary by Matthew Buzzell about Luna's last tour is supposed to be released by Rhino DVD. Check out the bands website for all the info you may want to geek out on. Also, if you go here you can listen to some out takes from the 1997 "Pup Tent" recording sessions, and a live version of "The Slow Song" recorded in Toronto. Yada, yada... here are a few songs from Luna's final studio album "Rendezvous". The song "Buffalo Boots" goes out to all the hipsters I saw Friday night at the Rosary Room sporting their swanky cowboy boots. I counted 4 maybe 5 girls with them on. I will not lie... it's kinda hot.
